The Benefits of
Body Stress Release
There are many benefits to having regular Body Stress Release.
After a session
After a session, you might feel immediate relief from pain and stiffness. However, this might not always be the case. Healing is a process and it can take a little bit longer for our bodies to release tension due to built-up layers of stress. Think of the layers of an onion. As a practitioner, I am trying to get to the core of the onion but I will need to first release each layer of the onion in order to restore your muscles back to their normal tone. Once the muscles attain normal tone, more energy is available for living.
Over time
Due to the nerves not being compressed anymore and the muscles not being in a protective mode, there is more flow of communication between the brain and the nervous system improving muscle movement, organ function and energy levels.
Often clients start noticing things clearing up which they did not mention before such as bladder issues, constipation, heartburn and indigestion.
Why does pain come and go?
When our muscles are in a protective mode, the nerves are often numbed so that we can cope during our busy days. After having Body Stress Release there can be temporary pain as sensation is restored to these numbed nerves. It is nothing to be concerned about as it is an indication that communication is flowing throughout your body and the muscles are being restored to a normal tone.
Clients should be aware that during this time of healing it is important to avoid anything that would trigger your nervous system to go into a protective mode again and numb the nerves. Examples are lifting heavy objects, slouching on the couch for long periods or intense exercise. Healing is a process and we need to give our body time to finish healing before tackling stressful activities.
