Hi there, my name is Hannah Dennis and I am a Body Stress Release Practitioner working in Kenilworth, Cape Town. 

Helping people with their physical and mental health has always been a passion of mine. What I love most about the Body Stress Release technique, is that it is gentle, precise and holistic. Unfortunately, stress is a huge part of our lives. Whether the stress is due to a major or minor operation, an interpersonal relationship gone wrong, or just a really challenging week at work, our bodies absorb it all. 

I studied Body Stress Release for five months on the Garden Route and it was such a unique and fulfilling experience. I personally suffer from regular headaches and have had to deal with emotional stress at various times in my life. Having Body Stress Release on a regular basis, has made a huge difference to both my physical and emotional health. I would love to see others experience the same relief and benefit I have felt through Body Stress Release.  


WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A BODY STRESS RELEASE APPOINTMENT

On your first appointment, I will take a case history and talk a little about Body Stress Release. Once ready, I will ask you to take your shoes off and put on a pair of socks. When you feel comfortable, I will ask you to lie on the Body Stress Release bed, fully clothed, with your feet slightly off the end of the bed. I will then proceed to test for tension in various areas of your body using a pressure test and the alignment of your feet. Once lines of tension have been identified, I will use my hands to give gentle but precise impulses to encourage the body to release the stored tension. After the session, I will explain what I found and discuss with you how it relates to the discomfort you have been experiencing. When appropriate, I will also suggest ways to correct posture and give you some self-help tips. 


I highly recommend booking three appointments to start, as Body Stress Release is a process, not a quick fix. Each appointment will take approximately  45 mins to 1 hour
